Hello everyone,
since I´ve been not able to do that so far I wanted to wish you all a happy belated new year .
I hope you all got into the new year safe and healthy and that it´ll be the very best 2015 there possibly could be ^^.
I personally spent my new years Eve on building a new photo website for the people i know and met who don´t any of the previous social networks like facebook (www.facebook.com/DanielGliesep…) or DA. The new site is www.daniel-gliese-photography.com and I hope some of you will take a moment to give it a look and maybe share their thoughts on in it with me .
Other than that I´m at the moment at my 3rd book of this year. So far I´ve read "Ready Player One" which is a cool Sci-Fi Novel if you´re into 80s pop culture and video games. The second Book was "The ultimate history of video games" which (what a surprise) is a book about the history of video games. Right now, on the recommendation of a few bloggers i follow, I´ve picked up a german comedy novel called "Er ist wieder da" (english title: Look who´s back) which is a story set in 2011 Berlin where Hitler wakes up and has to adjust to life in present-day germany (which he always mis-interprets somehow).
So that´s been past and present...
Let´s take a look into the future .
On the relative short end of the future is that there´ll be a book in the works since next june will be my 5th photographic anniversary and I´ve had the idea of doing a photo book about those first 5 years. Then there´ll be a lot of travelling (short trips, big journeys) hopefully. I´ve had the idea of actually writing travel journals for my photo excursions then and putting them together as a whole story on the website. The notes i´ve taken for those journals then will be kept and at the end of the notebook turned into the next book (I´m just not 100% that that´ll be this year ).
The big journey of course will be another trip to the great state of Oregon (You might have noticed, I love Oregon ) and then for the short trips something in a radius of only a few hours (I´m really thankful there´s enough interesting stuff in this part of the world to go to ).
Soooo, these are my plans for this year What are yours?
Whatever they may be, i hope you´ll have a great time doing your thing
Stay awesome and creative
Daniel

Hello friends, watchers and random visitors...
holy moly, has it really been 3 years since the last Journal update? What´s wrong with me? Oo.
Anyhow, I might as well write one now.
Not much has changed in my personal life. I´m still working my non-too-special desk job and put way too much time and effort into it.
These last few months I had to deal with repeated car troubles. First a manufacturing fault which took months to repair and just a few
weeks later i got one of those fun ferret bites on some fuselage that damaged my car again...
So all in all i didnt have a car to use to go out and take photos for months, which sever
Summertime... and the living is easy
Hello everyone,
how are you guys? :)
As you may have noticed I haven´t exactly been the most active deviant lately so I´ve decided to give you all a little update on what´s been going on around me and my life in these last few months and why my output has been rather lacking lately.
So to get the biggest thing right out of the way...
Since this year will mark my 5 year anniversary as a photographer I´ve spent a lot of time in these last few months to put together a photo book covering those first five years. To do so I had to learn a lot of new things, right down to get into yet another creative software with Indesign
Its been a while
Hey hey there ^^
How are you?
I know it´s been quite a while since my last journal update and my output these last months has been somewhat lacking as well.
These last few months unfortunately were some really challenging times for me, both in my personal life with my dad being hospitalised for serious health issues as well as professionally with work getting more and more stressful and time-consuming. So all in all there wasn´t much energy left for creative things.
But things are going better now and i hope (can´t promise though) to be more active again in the future.
At the moment of course I´m still a bit bus
Thank you
